MCP Tools Expanded to 17 — Member & Task Retrieval and Bulk PBI Updates

Three new tools have been added to the AI assistant integration (MCP), bringing the total to 17.
AI assistants can now see your members and tasks, and tidy up PBIs right within the conversation.

🤖 MCP Tools Expanded to 17 (Two Read Tools Added)

Two read tools have been added so AI assistants can understand the state of your workspace in more detail.

  • List project members: Retrieve the members participating in a project. This gives the AI the context it needs to reason about “who should take this on.”
  • List tasks: Retrieve a project’s tasks in one call. You can also narrow the list down to the tasks linked to a specific PBI.

✏️ Update a PBI in a Single Command

Until now, updating a PBI from MCP mostly meant changing its status. A new update tool lets you edit multiple fields at once.

  • Update only the fields you need — story point, priority, sprint, scrum team, epic, status, and name.
  • Partial edits are handled precisely: fields you don’t touch stay as they are, and fields you want to empty are cleared.
  • Changes are reflected on the board in your browser in real time, and epic progress is recalculated automatically.

Now a single conversation with your AI assistant can cover the whole flow — understanding members and tasks, then organizing PBI priorities and sprint assignments — entirely through MCP.
