Update released
Cleaning up your backlog in bulk is now far easier. Export a CSV, fix it in your spreadsheet tool, and re-upload it to update many items in a single pass.
🔄 Fix everything at once, then re-upload
CSV import used to handle only new items, so changing items you already had meant opening and editing each one on screen. Reviewing a backlog of dozens to a hundred items simply wasn’t practical that way.
Now you can export a CSV, edit it in Excel or Google Sheets, and re-upload it to update items in bulk. Rows that carry an item’s identifying information are updated, while rows without it are added as new—so you can tidy up and add items in a single operation.
📊 Keep only the columns you need for a partial update
You don’t have to export every item and work with every field. Just prepare a CSV that keeps only the columns you want to update.
Only the columns included in the CSV are updated; columns you leave out keep their current values. So when you want to revise just estimates or assignees across many items, upload a sheet with only those columns edited and nothing else is affected.
👀 Preview the per-row outcome before anything is applied
When an upload is applied as-is, it’s a hassle to roll back if the result isn’t what you expected.
So before importing, each row is sorted in advance into “add,” “update,” or “error.” You can see how many items will be added, how many will be updated, and which rows have a problem—all before anything is applied, so you can import with confidence.
🛡️ Items in other projects stay protected
Updates happen only within the project you upload to; items in other projects are never overwritten. Even teams juggling several projects can use bulk updates with peace of mind.
