Update released
For everyone who runs projects day to day, assigning work to yourself or a teammate and finding the PBI you need are now quicker and more accurate. We've cleared away the small friction that used to build up around selecting people and searching.
🙋 You appear first in the user picker
When you assign a task to yourself or a teammate, the person you pick most often is yourself. Even so, you used to be buried in the user list and had to scroll to find yourself every single time.
With this update, you now appear at the top of the list whenever you select a user, with a marker that makes it clear it’s you. The most common action—“assign it to myself first”—is now a single step with no scrolling.
🔍 Read truncated names and descriptions in full on hover
Long PBI names and project descriptions were sometimes cut off to fit the screen, so you couldn’t read them in full. Just to see the rest, you had to open a detail view—an extra step every time.
Now, you can hover over a truncated item name or description to see the full text in a tooltip. You can read everything right where you are, without switching screens. It’s especially handy when you need to tell similar-looking items apart.
🔎 PBI search now covers titles, body text, and IDs
Until now, PBI search only found a match when your keyword appeared in the title. You couldn’t search by words written in the body or by an item’s ID, so if you couldn’t recall the exact title, you sometimes couldn’t get to the PBI at all.
From this update, PBI search matches not only the title but also the body text and the ID. Whether it’s a keyword from the description or an ID you jotted down, you can go straight to the PBI you need—searching from whatever clue you remember, instead of relying on exact wording.
✨ Less friction in your everyday actions
“Assign it to myself,” “assign it to a teammate,” and “find the item I need” are actions you repeat many times a day while running a project.
Each one is small on its own, but together they add up and break your focus. With these improvements, the extra scrolling and re-searching disappear from these everyday actions, so you can get back to the work you actually wanted to do.
