Update released
We've revisited how you edit and save in the modals you open every day. You can now save with the keyboard alone, and you no longer have to wonder where a title is shown or when your changes are saved—so you can stay focused on editing.
⌨️ Save with the keyboard in any modal
Creating and editing sprints and projects, assigning members, sending invitations—many actions open a form in a modal. Until now, Cmd / Ctrl + Enter worked to save in some modals but not others, so you often had to reach for the mouse and click the save button every time.
With this update, form modals now consistently support saving and submitting with Cmd / Ctrl + Enter. The save button shows the shortcut as a hint, so there’s no guessing. Use Cmd + Enter on Mac or Ctrl + Enter on Windows, and once you’ve finished typing you can complete the action without leaving the keyboard.
No more adjusting to differences between modals—keep your hands on the keyboard and go straight through to saving.
📝 A cleaner title display and save in detail modals
When you opened a PBI, epic, or task detail modal, the same title appeared twice—once in the header and once at the top of the body—which felt redundant. The title also behaved differently from the body: unlike the body, which saves automatically, the title was only saved when you moved focus away, so “when did this save?” varied from field to field.
Now the title appears in just one place, at the top of the body, and only moves up into the header once you scroll far enough that the body title leaves the screen. Saving is now the same auto-save as the body: pause your typing for a moment and the title is committed automatically.
Without the distraction of a duplicated title, you can edit it just like the body, and stay focused on your content without worrying about a save button or save timing.
✨ Everyday editing with less to think about
Open a modal, type something, save, and close—this is an action you repeat many times a day while running a project.
Each small snag is minor on its own, but together they break your focus. With these improvements, saving is done entirely from the keyboard, and there are fewer moments where you have to wonder about how a title is shown or when it’s saved. Editing and saving in the modals you open every day become more natural and easier to follow.
