Open a detail, and see progress and status right there

Update released

When you open a detail, you can now see progress and status right there—without expanding further or opening items one by one. Take in how much of the body's checklist is left, or the state of the PBIs under an epic, within the screen you've opened.

☑️ See your checklist’s completed count without counting it yourself

When you write your to-dos as a checklist in the body of a PBI, task, or epic, the only way to know how many were done was to open the detail, read all the way through the body, and tally the checked items one by one.

With this update, a detail now shows the completed and total counts of the checklist in the body, as a badge—for PBIs, tasks, and epics alike. This is separate from the existing progress derived from the number of linked tasks; it reflects how far you’ve worked through the checklist you wrote in the body.

Open a detail and, without re-reading the body to recount, you can see how far along your steps are, right there. (This is a display-only change—toggling, reordering, and filtering checklist items are out of scope.)

🗂️ See the state and title of PBIs under an epic without opening each one

Opening an epic’s details, the list of PBIs underneath showed no status, and titles were cut off so you could only read part of them. To check which stage each PBI was at and what it was about, you had to open them one by one.

Now the PBI list in epic details shows a status, and even when a title is shortened, hovering over it reveals the full text. Separate from the checklist badge, this change is about getting a clearer overview of what’s under an epic.

Open an epic’s details and, without opening each PBI underneath, you can see right there what state it’s in and what it’s about.

👀 Take in the state, right where you’ve opened a detail

Each of these changes is about grasping state when you open a detail—without expanding further or opening items one by one.

You spend less effort re-reading the body or opening the PBIs underneath one at a time—you can take in progress and status within the screen you’ve opened. Your everyday check-ins take fewer steps.
